BCHPCA Components of Care

Oceanside Hospice is a not for profit organization of Volunteers supporting palliative and bereaved residents of the Oceanside area,on Vancouver Island.
Volunteers provide emotion, psychological and spiriual support in end of life issues.

Programs and Services: include an Equipment Loan Program, Bereavement support on a one-to-one basis and in structured grief support groups, one-on-one Volunteer support to ailing and grieving clients in their own home, a care facility or the Palliative Care unit at Nanaimo Hospital, a Men's Grief Support group, a walking group and a social group for those dealing with the loss of a spouse. A lending library containing print, audio and video material dealing with death, dying and bereavement is available at Valhalla [hospice house].

All services and programs are offered to any resident of Oceanside, free of charge.
