Membership in the BCHPCA includes membership in the national organization.
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) is the national association which provides leadership in hospice palliative care in Canada.
CHPCA offers leadership in the pursuit of excellence in care for persons approaching death so that the burdens of suffering, loneliness and grief are lessened.
CHPCA will strive to achieve its mission through:
- collaboration and representation;
- increased awareness, knowledge and skills related to hospice palliative care of the public, health care providers and volunteers;
- development of national standards of practice for hospice palliative care in Canada;
- support of research on hospice palliative care;
- advocacy for improved hospice palliative care policy, resource allocation and supports for caregivers.
BCHPCA Membership
Your membership in BCHPCA provides vital support to the Association and its long-standing commitment of ensuring quality end of life care for all British Columbians and Yukoners.
Your active membership allows you and your organization to:
- Support the ongoing development of Hospice Palliative Care in the province
- Assist in developing policies and position statements
- Receive all BCHPCA communications
- Vote at Annual General Meetings
- Participate in regional elections, on the Board of Directors and on Special Committees
- Receive joint membership in the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association
- Receive discounted rates for educational workshops, annual conference and BCHPCA courses
- Take advantage of bursaries, special grants, and awards
- Participate in online discussion forums

Programs with budgets less than $50,000 = $75
Programs with budgets $50,000 - $100,000 = $125
Programs with budgets $100,000 - $500,000 = $150
Programs with budgets over $500,000 = $250
