Administration
Staffing: Coordinator of Volunteers, Coordinator of Bereavement Support Services, Office Assistant.
9 member Board of Directors
Office hours: 9-3:30 Monday to Friday.    Funding: Vistas Run, Meadowridge Rotary Club,Bingo - BC Gaming licence,donations  special events.
Partnership with Fraser Health will see 10 designated palliative beds open in the Fall of 2006, in new CareLife Building, adjacent to Ridge Meadows Hospital.
Ridge Meadows Hospice Society is committed to $360,000. to furnishings and equipment for the palliative facility.

Volunteer Program
Visiting Volunteers support and companion terminally ill people and their families at home, in the hospital and in Long Term Care facilities.  Volunteers support the family through the first year of bereavement.  Monthly volunteer meetings and ongoing training provided. 

Bereavement Program
Coordinator and volunteers facilitate an 8-week Grief Support Group several times through the year,an informal walking group, and provide telephone support. 

Evaluation and Research
• 30 hour basic training for visiting volunteers
• facilitation skills training offered as needed
• ongoing training offered 
• quarterly newsletter

Other Relevant Information
Ridge Meadows Hospice Society is a member of the Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Team.  Community outreach includes Celebrate a Life, Time to Remember (memorial service) and public workshops.
